<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double tube type subcooler improved in strength, durability and heat exchanging performance to a high-pressure refrigerant without increasing its size. <P>SOLUTION: This subcooler 1 has an inner and outer double tube structure for subcooling the high-pressure refrigerant F2 by heat exchange between a low-pressure refrigerant F1 flowing in an inner tube 2 and the high-pressure refrigerant F2 flowing between an outer peripheral face of the inner tube 2 and an outer tube 3.
