<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front structure of a vehicle body in which a shock absorption member is installed over an extension direction of a bumper beam even if a shape of the bumper beam is changed. <P>SOLUTION: The front structure 100 of a vehicle body includes: a front bumper beam 1 which extends in an approximate vehicle width direction; and a safety plate 2 which is fixed to a front face 1a of the front bumper beam 1 and absorbs collision energy by deformation when a collision load is applied. The front bumper beam 1 includes: an approximately linear center 15 formed in a center in the vehicle width direction; and sides 16 and 16 which are bent from both ends of the center 15 to be tilted so as to be positioned at further rear side toward vehicle outer side. The safety plate 2 includes: a center safety plate 21 which is fixed along the center 15 and formed by folding a steel plate; and a corner safety plate 22 which is constituted with a form different from the center safety plate 21, fixed along the side 16, and has higher rigidity than that of the center safety plate 21 which is formed by folding the steel plate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
