The set has a bone bit (12) for removal of a bone column from a bone. An elongated hollow body (16) includes a distal-sided cutting edge (34) and a proximal-sided opening for connection with a driver. The driver includes a closure inserted into the opening and the hollow body over a proximal-sided open cross-section in a rotary position. The closure is brought into the other rotary position in an inserted condition. The closure is locked with an opening (70) in walls (20, 24) of the hollow body in the latter rotary position.
