The method involves determining cooling capacity of an air conditioning apparatus of a vehicle (110), and determining minimum flow rate of airflow (120) by the air conditioning apparatus dependent on temperature of the airflow. The minimum flow rate of the airflow is determined such the airflow is not heated by a heating element. The temperature of the airflow is reduced by a vaporizer. Information about temperature of the vaporizer is received, and the temperature of the airflow is set to a value, which is higher than the temperature of the vaporizer. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for adjusting cooling capacity of an air conditioning apparatus of a vehicle (2) an air conditioning apparatus comprising a vaporizer.
