<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery in which safety can be enhanced while minimizing degradation of battery performance. <P>SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises a positive electrode 1 having a positive electrode active material layer 103 formed on both surfaces of a collector 102, a negative electrode 2 having a negative electrode active material layer 203 formed on both surfaces of a collector 202, a separator interposed between the positive electrode 1 and the negative electrode 2, and nonaqueous electrolyte liquid.
