<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data protection device capable of establishing a system that can easily deal with blackout and the like. <P>SOLUTION: A data protection device comprises: acquisition means for sequentially acquiring stored data from a system equipped with an operating system; storage means for sequentially storing the stored data acquired by the acquisition means; and provision means for providing the stored data stored by the storage means to the system equipped with the operating system, at the time of startup of the system equipped with the operating system.
