<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging device, an image forming apparatus, a charging method and an image forming method capable of suppressing charging failure caused by a change in the number of times of charging. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 10 includes a charging device 200. The charging device 200 comprises; an outer peripheral surface 206 for discharging between the surface and a photoreceptor 102 which has a film part 106 holding electric charge; a charging member 204 to which voltage is applied and which charges the photoreceptor 102 by contacting with the photoreceptor 102; and an adjusting mechanism 280 for adjusting an angle between the photoreceptor 102 and the outer peripheral surface 206. The image forming apparatus 10 also includes a control unit 400 for controlling the adjusting mechanism 280 to decrease the angle between the photoreceptor 102 and the outer peripheral surface 206 according to an increase in the number of times of charging. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
