<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device, an imaging device, an image processing method and a program for the device, capable of extracting an object with higher accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing device comprises: means for obtaining a first image including an object to be extracted and a second image including only a background; a background low-variance α map creating section 213 for creating a background low-variance α map by calculating the sum of an absolute difference value of a pixel value for each pixel of both first and second images to binarize the sum; a background high-variance α map creating section 214 for creating a background high-variance α map by calculating the sum of difference squares of a pixel value for each pixel of both first and second images to binarize the sum; a pixel variance map creating section 215 for calculating, for each pixel of the second image, the variance of a pixel value in a small block including the pixel to create a variance image having the calculated pixel values; a difference extraction map creating section 216 for combining the background low-variance α map and the background high-variance α map based on the pixel values of the variance image; and a combined image creating section 217 for extracting an object portion from the first image by associating the combined image with the first image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
