<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to perform a correcting operation more efficiently by using a character recognition result of a document image of high priority when a plurality of related document images are read in and subjected to character recognition and a character recognition result is corrected. <P>SOLUTION: Character recognition results are acquired which are obtained by subjecting regions of each of the plurality of read document images to the character recognition processing, and the obtained character recognition results of the plurality of document images are managed. On receiving a request to display a correction picture for a first document image from the suer, it is determined whether the managed character recognition result of the first document image matches a character recognition result, corresponding to the character recognition result, of a second document image relating to the first document image, and when it is determined that they do not match each other, a character recognition result of a document image of higher priority between the first document image and second document image is displayed in the correction picture. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
