PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitter which does not incorporate power storage means such as a battery and which is capable of easily determining whether a control signal was transmitted.

SOLUTION: A remote controller 10 comprises: a body 11; an operation part 12 provided in the body 11 and configured to enable pressing operation; a power generation part 13 which generates electricity via the operation part 12; a storage part 14 which stores an identification number set corresponding to the operation part 12; a control part 15 which generates a control signal according to the operation of the operation part 12; a transmission part 16 which transmits the control signal generated by the control part 15; notification means 17 for making an notification using the electricity generated according to the operation of the operation part when the control signal was transmitted; and a determination part 18 which determines whether the control signal was transmitted.
