PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a carbon fiber composite material with improved wettability of a carbon nanofiber and a synthetic resin, and to provide the carbon fiber composite material.

SOLUTION: The method for producing the carbon fiber composite material includes steps (a), (b) and (c), the step (a) being a process of mixing a synthetic resin and the carbon nanofiber to obtain a mixture, the step (b) being a process of carrying out dielectric heating of the mixture to dissolve the synthetic resin which is in contact with the carbon nanofiber in the mixture, and the step (c) being a process of cooling the synthetic resin dissolved in the step (b) for solidification.
