The invention provides a method and device for determining the power consumption of a communication station. The method includes: receiving the power consumption reported from the communication station; determining the power consumption of each of the virtual devices in the communication station individually according to the powers of the virtual devices and the traffic of the communication station, and calculating the total power consumption of all the virtual devices, wherein the virtual devices include the devices without the capability of detecting the power consumption and the devices without the capability of reporting the power consumption, and the traffic of the communication station is the traffic of the communication station at the time point when the power consumption is reported; determining the total power consumption of the communication station according to the reported power consumption and the total power consumption of all the virtual devices. The Operating and Supporting System (OSS) power consumption platform provided by the embodiment of the invention achieves the statistics of the power consumption of the communication station, so appropriate energy saving strategies can be made for the communication station. |
