A system and method for acquiring environment information of an antenna are provided in the embodiments of the present invention. The system includes an environment information pick-up device, a data transmission channel and a remote side reception terminal. Wherein the environment information pick-up device is used for acquiring the environment information of the antenna; the data transmission channel is used for sending the environment information acquired by the environment information pick-up device to the remote side reception terminal; and the remote side reception terminal is used for receiving and processing the environment information. By sending the picked environment information to a remote side observing terminal by the environment information pick-up device, the embodiments of the present invention can accordingly provide the environment information in real time to a network optimization engineering system, improve the acquirement efficiency of the environment information, and reduce the cost of the network optimization.
