PURPOSE: A backlight unit using a CNT(Carbon NanoTube) lamp chip array is provided to realize better video features, better prices, and low power consumption than an existing CCFL(Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp) or an existing LED(Light Emitting Diode) light source. CONSTITUTION: One and more CNT lamp chips are arranged to form a CNT lamp chip array(100A). The CNT lamp chips have CNTs as emitter. The CNT lamp chip array is partially driven by adjusting each brightness of each CNT lamp chip. The CNT lamp chip array are arranged to make the CNT lamp chips vertically and horizontally at a fixed interval. |
