<p>Control device for multi-stand cold rolling strip mill street, on which each stand is equipped with a strip tension measuring device, comprises also a controller for setting the tension for each stand and both these are connected to a comparator circuit. Each comparator circuit can regulate the speed of each roll via a contractor which is connected with the drive motor of the relevant roll stand. All contractors may be worked from a central controller, which emits a signal when the values derived by all comparator circuits are nearly nil. The central controller is connected with a memory storage device which stores the speed of revolution of each roll stand and also memorises the ratios of the current values on receipt of the signals thus enabling the controller after opening of the relevant contactors to regulate the drive motors in relation to the stores ratios.</p> |
