A mechanical treatment method for pulverulent plastics used for coating workpieces inside a metal container, consists of applying alternating positive and negative electrical charges to the powder throughout the treatment period. The continuously alternating charge prevents a constant charge forming, and thus prevents clumping and adhesion of the powder.
