4-Methylthiobutyl isothiocyanate is used for the prodn. of stable cholagogues with choleretic, chloekinetic and antibacterial activity. The products can be stored indefinitely and have antibiotic activity against Gram positive and negative bacteria but no effect on intestinal flora.
