<p>Resistance wire (0.04 - 0.05 mm. pure nickel) for use at high temps. i.e. 280 degrees C is coated with a slow-drying, heat hardenable lacquer - pref. polyimide containing a fine particle filler e.g. thorium oxide. Lacquer to filler ratio is 1:0.5 - 1:1. The coated wire is given a clear polyimide finish. Coating thickness is 3 - 5 mu m.</p> |
