Regenerator heat-exchanger

Thin fixed heat-exchanger mass of finely divided material through the thickness of which pass the fluids in heat exchange, is enclosed in a housing. This leaves only the necessary passages to collect the fluids from or distribute them over the main faces of the mass. The housing has inlet and outlet openings on opposite sides of the mass.
