<p>An information display system 20 is used in conjunction with a road vehicle 10 such as an agricultural tractor. The system comprises a controller 22 and a display unit 14. The controller provides an output signal to the display unit. The output signal comprises information that is indicative of an estimated time interval between the present time and a predicted vehicle turn event. The time interval is periodically updated, and the display means displays said time interval to road users following behind. the vehicle. Drivers in view of the display unit can make a more informed decision on whether to overtake or not. The invention is aimed at reducing casualties arising from unnecessary and hazardous overtaking manoeuvres particularly on single carriageway roads.</p> |
