The circuit has mains units [I-III]. A mains switch [S1] and a switching element such as a relay [R1] that bridges the first contact. The control terminal of the relay is coupled to the load [L] and provides turn off. The circuit has a microprocessor [UP] and controls the relay by switching a transistor stage [T1]. An inductance [LS] is included for power factor correction.
