This invention relates to the stability of air bleaching compositions. The use of bleaching catalysts for stain removal has been developed over recent years. The recent discovery that some catalysts are capable of bleaching effectively in the absence of an added peroxyl source has recently become the focus of some interest, for example: W09965905; W00012667; W00012808; W00029537, and W00060045. The invention relates to an air bleaching catalyst that has been coated with a polymer that serves to promote the stability of the air bleaching catalyst. The invention also provides a method of coating the air bleaching catalyst.
