POLYESTER FABRICS AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: Polyester fiber capable of using for airbag fabric is provided to have excellent acceptability, shape stability and air blocking ability, thereby minimizing the impact to passenger and protecting passengers safely. CONSTITUTION: Polyester fiber comprises polyester yarn with the fineness 400-650 denier. The strength and elongation rate(TIwa) in equation 1(TIwa= Twa/(Swa× D)) measured after heat treatment under the condition of 85°C and 65 %RH for 4 hours is 0.18-0.38. In equation 1, Twa is tensile strength along weft direction measures by ISO 13934-1 method, Swa is tensile elongation rate measures by ISO 13934-1 method, and D is the fineness of the polyester yarn(De). The polyester fiber is coated by powder type silicon, liquid type silicon, chloroprene, neoprene rubber or emulsion type silicon resin. The manufacturing method of polyester fiber comprises a step of weaving fabric for an airbag; a step of refining the fabric; and a step of tentering the fabric.
