PURPOSE: An inverter connected to a photovoltaic array and a driving method thereof are provided to reduce a switching loss in the inverter by generating a hybrid output voltage which is a rectification AC waveform through an ACF and a flyback converter. CONSTITUTION: A hybrid converter(50) generates a hybrid output voltage by receiving DC and includes an input converter, an ACF(10), and a flyback converter(20). An inverter controller(40) generates a gate signal for controlling a switching operation of the selected converter. A first transformer(100) includes a primary coil and a secondary coil which supplies a current to an output capacitor. The DC is inputted to one end of the primary coil.
