PURPOSE: An LED current control device and an LED current control method are provided to form a maximum LED current level with a minimum control signal by using an additional SEL1 signal and/or SEL2 signal. CONSTITUTION: A selection unit(10) outputs a first signal or a second signal according to an inputted control signal and includes at least one comparator(11) and at least one resistor(12). A current changing unit(20) is connected to an input terminal of a current amplifying unit. The current changing unit includes a transistor(21) and a switching unit(23) with a switch(22) serially connected to the transistor. The switch of the current changing unit is controlled by a signal outputted from the selection unit.
