PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing Cleyera japonica extract is provided to actively remove free radial and to suppress tyrosinase. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition contains 0,0001-10.0 wt% of yera japonica extract as an active ingredient. The extract has antioxidative, skin whitening, or anti-wrinkling effect and is prepared using water or organic solvent. The organic solvent is methanol, ethanol, propanol, isopropanol, butanol, acetone, ether, benzene, chloforom, ethyl acetate, or methylene chloride. The cosmetic compositioin is manufactured in the form of a lotion, paste, gel, cream, lotion, powder, surfactant-containing cleansing, oil, powder foundation, emulsion foundation, wax foundation, pack, ointment, or spray.
