PURPOSE: A timer and an IC device including the same are provided to generate interrupt through an interrupt generator according to a count reset value and to periodically update system time. CONSTITUTION: A buffer(120) sets up a count reset value. An up-counting block(130) receives the count reset value and increase a count value. The up-counting block resets the count value. An interrupt generating unit(140) receives the reset value of the count value from the up-counting block and request interrupt. The up-counting block resets the count value.
