PURPOSE: An apparatus for generating additional information of an image and a method thereof are provided to automatically establish location information using the location information of other image. CONSTITUTION: If a user selects a first image, a supplementary image information generator selects the first image(110). The supplementary image information generator offers an interface which displays a second image(120). The user selects the second image in the interface(130). The supplementary image information generator establishes the selected second image location information as the location information of the first image(140).
