PURPOSE: An electrophoretic display device, a driving method thereof, and an electronic device are provided to control movement of charged particles, thereby controlling at least one or all of lightness, chroma, and color. CONSTITUTION: A first transistor(TRs) is connected to a first electrode. A facing electrode(37) is formed on an electrophoretic layer of a second substrate. The facing electrode has a large light transmissive feature. A reflecting layer is formed on a first substrate. The reflecting layer has an area larger than the first electrode which reflects light.
