PURPOSE: An automatic gas shut-off device for a gas range is provided to simplify an installation structure because the structure change of a gas range is not required. CONSTITUTION: An automatic gas shut-off device for a gas range comprises an overheat sensing unit(100), a handle rotating unit(200), a drive unit(300), and a control unit(400). The overheat sensing unit is movably installed in the center of a burner(60) and senses the temperature of the bottom surface(3a) of a cooking container(3). The handle rotating unit is connected to the rotary shaft of a handle(30). The drive unit cuts off gas supplied to the burner by rotating the handle rotating unit. The control unit controls the drive unit when the temperature signal sensed from the overheat sensing unit is over a pre-set overheat temperature.
