PRE-SCANNING METHOD FOR PERFORM HANDOVER AND APPARATUS FOR SUPPORTING THEREOF IN WIRELESS NETWORK

PURPOSE: A pre-scanning method for handover in a wireless network and a terminal supporting the same are provided to reduce a traffic load of the terminal due to pre-scanning while the terminal provides quick handover. CONSTITUTION: An entire channel searching unit scans all available channels(S300). The entire channel searching unit checks whether neighbor AP(Access Point)s exist and the cycle of beacon messages transmitted from the neighbor APs(S310). An effective channel searching unit scans an effective channel(S320). A handover unit selects at least one target AP during handover(S330).
