PURPOSE: A honing machine for processing an engine is provided to flexibly hone cylinder blocks having different specifications without the replacement of a jig. CONSTITUTION: A honing machine(100) for processing an engine comprises a frame unit(10), a honing head assembly(20), first and second conveyors(30,40), a turn table(50), and a gantry loader(70). The frame unit is composed of upper and lower frames(11,15) and a pair of vertical frames(13) and cuts the inner surface of a bore of a cylinder block. The first conveyor conveys a block to a work space between the vertical frames and discharges the honed cylinder block to the outside. The turn table is rotatably installed on the top surface of the lower frame at the work space. Jigs(G1,G2) for supporting the cylinder block are arranged on the turn table. The gantry loader loads the cylinder block moved through the first conveyor on the turn table and unloads the honed cylinder block from the turn table to the second conveyor. |
