A reformer 1 which produces reformed gas from a hydrocarbon material comprises: a reforming chamber 4 having an inner cylinder 41 and an outer cylinder 42; reforming catalyst 40 filled in the reforming chamber 4; a burner 2 which heats the reforming catalyst 40 and fuel of reformed gas; combustion gas outer flow channel 50 through which combustion gas of the burner 2 flows along an outer side surface of the reforming chamber 4; combustion gas inner flow channel 30 through which the combustion gas of the burner 2 flows along an inner side surface of the reforming chamber 4; and a plurality of "return pipes" 6 as reformed gas flow channel. |
