<p>A fire-fighting foam is made from an aqs. soln. having a positive spreading coefficient and contg. a protein foam cpd. as a major constituent and as minor constituents surfactants of two kinds, namely perfluoro and non-fluorinated having the same sign, the wt. of the non-fluorinated surfactant being from 1/3 to 3 times of tht of the perfluoro surfactant, and also ions of a divalent metal to stabilise the foam.</p> |
