PURPOSE: A ballast tank with a sterilizer is provided to sterilize ballast water inside a ballast tank without installing an outer ballast water processing device. CONSTITUTION: A ballast tank with a sterilizer comprises a ballast tank(2), an ultraviolet ray lamp unit(40), and a force flow unit(50). The ultraviolet ray lamp unit is vertically installed inside the ballast tank. Baffle plates are installed in the inner surface of the ballast tank. The force flow unit forcefully flows ballast water in the ballast tank. The ultraviolet ray lamp unit is composed of an ultraviolet ray lamp(42) and a protective net(44). The ultraviolet ray lamp is connected to an external power supply. The protective net is separated from the outer surface of the ultraviolet ray lamp.
