PURPOSE: A computing device and an external device coupling method are provided to easily couple an external device with a computing device by managing database for storing a coupling environment. CONSTITUTION: A database(111) stores a coupling environment between an external device and a computing device. If the external device is connected, a model information receiving unit(112) receives kind information of the external device from the external device. A coupling environment extracting unit(113) extracts the coupling environment from the database based on kind information of the external device.
