There is described amethod for producing a container (1) comprising a sleeve-like main portion (5) and an end piece (12) attached to the main portion (5); the method comprisesthe steps of: -advancing, along a given path (P), at least one forming member (38) having an axis (E) transversal to the path (P), and delimited by a top surface (33) and by a lateral surface (34) extending around said axis (E); -feeding the end piece (12) on the top surface (33) of theforming member (38); -wrapping a sheet (2) of packaging material around the lateral surface (34) of the forming member (38) such that the opposite side edges (4a, 4b) of the sheet (2) parallel to the axis (E) overlap one another; -joining the overlappededges (4a, 4b) of the sheet (2) by a longitudinal seal (7) so as to form the sleeve-like main portion (5) of the container (1); and -joining a peripheral edge (13) of the end piece (12) to an upper end (6) of the sleeve-like main portion (5) by a transversal seal (52) extending around the axis (E). |
