OVER-CURRENT PROTECTION METHOD FOR LITHIUM BATTERY AND DEVICE THEREOF

An over-current protection method for a lithium battery and a device thereof are provided. Said device includes: a locking unit, which is used to lock the over-current state of the lithium battery based on a charging/discharging over-current signal of the lithium battery, so as to continually indicate that the lithium battery is in the over-current state; and a circuit cut-off unit, which is used to output a drive signal to cut-off the main circuit in which the lithium battery locates when said locking unit locks the over-current state. The method and device lock the over-current state by the locking unit and drives the cutting-off of the main circuit by using the locking unit and the circuit cut-off unit, which enables the lithium battery over-current protection action execution which is no longer dependent on CPU. Even if the CPU software fails, when the over-current state happens, the over-current protection state can still be obtained, or the original over-current protection state can still be effectively maintained.
