Specifically, a random pixel is selected from main pixels, a correction value that corresponds to the position of the selected pixel is read from the obtained one-dimensional correction table for the main pixels, and shading is corrected according to the correction value and the pixel value of the random pixel. This process is implemented for all the main pixels and subpixels. A two-dimensional SD correction unit (67B) corrects the shading (step S16) for the shading-corrected (step S15) data in the regular manner by using a two-dimensional correction table.</p>
