The method comprises providing a representation of a machined component (10) in a calculating machine, identifying a welding point attached to the component, laying a stud welding template (12) so that a positioning element (14) overlaps with the associated welding point by fastening the stud welding template to the component, manufacturing the stud welding template by a generative manufacturing method, and laying the stud welding template of an interlocking element for connecting the stud welding template with a further stud welding template.
