Disclosed are a method for multi-user (MU) group identification and acquisition, an access point (AP), and a station (STA). The method for MU group identification comprises: the AP transmitting to the STA a piece of group identification information, the group identification information being for use in marking uniquely a MU-MIMO subgroup of one MU-MIMO group, and the one MU-MIMO group comprising one or a plurality of MU-MIMO subgroups. The present invention allows for a clear distinction between different MU-MIMO subgroups having the same group identification, and provides more ways of grouping different STA subgroups.
