PURPOSE: A gas circuit breaker is provided to reduce the height dimension of a circuit breaker by arranging a circuit breaker tank, a link instrument part, and a manipulator to be contiguous to a cross direction. CONSTITUTION: A circuit breaker tank(7) is used to seal a insulating gas. The circuit breaker tank includes a fixed contact(11) and a movable contact(12) inside. A manipulator(9) uses a spring for contacting and separating a movable contact with/from a fixed contact as a driving source. A link instrument part(8) connects the manipulator and the movable contact. The circuit breaker tank, the link instrument part, and the manipulator are installed to be contiguous to a cross direction. A gas seal room communicating with the circuit breaker tank is formed between the circuit breaker tank and the manipulator. The link instrument part is composed to be passed by a rotary shaft(20) passing through the gas seal room. A gas seal device is installed in a part where the rotary shaft of the gas seal room passes through. |
