<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that prevents the reduction of developer in a developing part that occurs on the start-up of a developing device, and prevents the intra-device contamination and deterioration of image quality. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 includes: a developing part 6 having circulation conveyance mechanisms 27, 28, 29; a developer stirring part 14 provided at a position different from the developing part 6; a plurality of developer conveyance means 16, 38, 45 that send developer from the developer stirring part 14 to the developing part 6 by conveying the developer by air through a developer conveyance path 17; and a developing device 23 that returns the developer circulated in the developing part 6 by the operations of the circulation conveyance mechanisms 27, 28, 29 to the developer stirring part 14 through a developer discharge path 15. Control means 50 is provided for activating a plurality of the conveyance means 16, 38, 45 before activating the circulation conveyance mechanisms 27, 28, 29 on the start-up of the operation of the developing device 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
