<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce processing time in conversion into printing data, compared with a system where converting processing into printing data is executed according to a printing order even when a shot job, or a printing job having few pages, is included in multiple printing jobs queuing for printing. <P>SOLUTION: A printing job selection part 44 determines whether a printing job stored in a printing job storage part 42 is a long job that its number of pages is over a preset threshold or a short job whose number of pages is not over the preset threshold. A printing job assignment control part 45 assigns each printing job determined as a short job to one of four controller boards 471-474. A printing job selection part 44 selects a short job from the stored subsequent printing jobs.
