<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a deterioration of an image quality by discharging defective carriers easily causing carrier adhesion outside a developing device without keeping a user waiting. <P>SOLUTION: This developing device storing two-ingredient developer includes, a rotatable developer carrier magnetically attracting a developer to the surface; and a developer regulating member that is disposed facing the developer carrier and uniformizes the amount of the developer on the developer carrier. A developer discharge mechanism for collecting prescribed carriers retained on the developer carrier is provided between a developing area that visualizes a latent image on an image carrier by a toner, and the developer regulating member at a position facing the developer carrier; and a voltage is applied to the developer discharge mechanism and the developer carrier respectively in such a manner as producing a potential difference between the developer discharge mechanism and the developer carrier such that the prescribed carriers are attracted to the developer discharge mechanism therebetween. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
