FOAMABLE THERMOPLASTIC RESIN MASTER BATCH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foamable thermoplastic resin master batch which can be foam-molded with a high foaming ratio even at a high molding temperature and can produce a molded product with good appearance while suppressing occurrence of silver streaks, and to provide a foam molded product produced using the foamable thermoplastic resin master batch.

SOLUTION: The foamable thermoplastic resin master batch contains a thermoplastic resin and thermally expandable microcapsules and has a water content of ≤1 wt.%. The thermally expandable microcapsules have a volatile liquid encapsulated as a core agent within a shell comprising a copolymer obtained by polymerizing polymerizable monomers containing a carboxyl group-containing monomer.
