<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier having an excellent toner spent property and abrasion resistance (chipping and peeling) of a coating, a developer including the carrier, a container including the developer for accommodating the developer, and an image forming method and a process cartridge using the developer. <P>SOLUTION: A carrier for an electrostatic latent image developer is formed of magnetized core material particles and a resin layer that coats the surface of the core material particles.
