<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that a constitution for performing liquid supply which does not cause shortage of refill against high speed, formation of long tube, raising viscosity becomes complicated. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a recording head 10; a head tank 30 which has an ink chamber 108 which communicates with the recording head 10; an ink cartridge 76; and a liquid supply passage 71 which communicates to the ink cartridge 76 and the head tank 30. The head tank 30 is provided with a normally open control valve 104 which varies flow resistance in a flow channel from the liquid supply passage 71 to a pressure chamber. The opening of the control valve 104 becomes large when the amount of liquids in the pressure chamber is reduced, and in a liquid supply passage 71, a pump which performs taking in and out of ink to the pressure chamber of the head tank 30 is formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
