<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an internal combustion engine that both increases temperature of an intake valve and prevents knocking. <P>SOLUTION: Opening of the intake valves 26a and 26b alternately every early half of the exhaust stroke allows an internal EGR gas to be flowed backward to intake port 24a and 24b, respectively. As a result, the temperatures of the intake valves 26a and 26b are increased. In addition, the internal EGR gas which is each flowed backward to the intake port 24a and 24b is cooled by a low-temperature port wall which is cooled by a coolant. Accordingly, when the intake valve which has not opened during the exhaust stroke is opened during the intake stroke immediately thereafter, the cooled internal EGR gas is inhaled into a cylinder with fresh air. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
