<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an operator to access a spinning unit of a spinning machine having a step. <P>SOLUTION: A spinning machine 1 as a spinning machine includes a plurality of spinning units 2, a package mounting part 21, a step 22, and a toe housing part 23. The plurality of spinning units 2 are arranged in a first direction, and each has a winding part 13 for winding a package 45. The package mounting part 21 is arranged in the first direction of the spinning unit 2 and on a winding part side 13 of the spinning unit 2. The step 22 is arranged in the first direction such that the package mounting part 21 is positioned between the step 22 and the plurality of spinning units 2, arranged at a position lower than the package mounting part 21, and has a step face 22a on which the operator can place his feet.
